CAPTAINS DIARY - MANIFESTO
I am being visited by this vision. It is a dark lined star that calls on pushing forward. It doesn’t show the way but supports the journey. It compels me to forge new paths toward an undefined goal. I have come to call it BANDIDO. A primordial entity that haunts us. It is the soul caster, life giver, underground dweller of new living pictures.** **Not long ago, Bandido got released beyond its ethereal mythical construction, brought down from consciousness into our base reality through the hands of The Royal one. It set flag on the animation house of Bandido in the lone plateau of Trás-os-Montes, Portugal, where reality and fiction dome together through local mythology. It is anchored in nature and built from the unexpected details of all things universal…and so Bandido’s story begins.
CHAPTER ONE - EGG
Entrapped in the confines of a regular small box, Bandido emerged into consciousness as a drive for creation, hungry for the creative universe beyond. It broke free into the vast unknown, where wonder awaited and so did the young animator, José Teixeira.
CHAPTER TWO - LARVAE
In its first fragile steps into the unknown, Bandido led its host to co-found a small experimental production house with friends. Husma it was. This is where he began learning to bend time and space, to create alternate realities, and to master flow and rhythm.
CHAPTER THREE - CHRYSALIS
Once that experimentation box, too, had become too small, Bandido prompted the young director to venture forward. Taking him to co-found aimcreativestudios, this became the perfect space to consolidate the knowledge of the craft and the business. He started mastering the flow of creation, learning to guide, direct, and ultimately cast soul into inanimate objects. It became a crucible of growth, where Bandido’s vision evolved further into its host.
CHAPTER FOUR - EPHEMERAL
The seasoned creative director arrived at a crossroads, where experience met ambition, and the need for something more complex, more nuanced, was born. With Bandido’s first physical manifestation came the revelation of an entirely new world. Though not a founder’s experience in the traditional sense, it came close. Superside captured Bandido just before lift off, leading it to venture into building another animation studio—this time with new rules, in a different reality. Behind the curtain of this venture lay a seemingly infinite playground, where mastering organization, codes of conduct, pressure management, and scaling became second nature. Yet the golden box grew too heavy to carry. Now, Bandido is free to roam—a myth unbound, returning to the world of animation where it belongs.
